Who
we are
The Prince George Regional Performing Arts Centre Society is a non-profit organization
incorporated under the Society Act in British Columbia
in August, 2007. A Board of 11
voting Directors elected by the
Society's members - approximately 600 by mid 2008
- sets the direction of the Society.
The Executive Committee of the Board includes the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
The
goals of the Society
The Prince George Regional Performing Arts Centre Society'
purpose is
to:

establish a Prince George Regional Performing Arts Centre in the City of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, and
-
arrange for the maintenance and operation of the Prince George Regional Performing Arts Centre.
The
vision of the Society
-
To develop a flexible,
modern venue which can attract diverse performing artists:
musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, story-tellers and actors.

To
support community performing arts
organizations serving both amateur and professional performers.

To attract national and international artists
requiring modern theatre settings to
perform.
-
To provide a comfortable, stimulating environment to augment the
performance experiences presented to our audiences.

To create a facility that will serve as a focus for the educational and creative activities of the arts community.

To reinvigorate the facility's neighbourhood.

To
support and expand the economy of
the region by creating new jobs and
enhancing the cultural milieu that
is key to attracting new businesses
and residents.
